Happy new year 2009! :D

I am (again) trying to take care of my deviantart account... Haven't submitted anything for a year or so, but that will change now.

I also cleaned up my friendlist because of hundreds of deviations in my inbox I do not have the time to look at. Deleted almost everbody except for the people that watch me too.

So I will try to look more after my account here now although I don't have much time. I'm doing an intership at a small advertising agency at the moment and things are going quite good :)

Question:
Have you heard Venetian Snares's "My Downfall" or "Meathole"?
I got My Downfall and it's VERY good.
I heard Meathole is good too, but I'm not so sure.
Should I get it, should I not?
Maybe you can help!

I've heard both, I still prefer "Rossz..." to "My Downfall" but it's great too.
I like Meathole too, it's a lot harder, but I like the hard stuff :)
I would say you should get it!

This is what I think about "My Downfall"-
The instrumental and violin pieces are fabulous.
I am in love with "Picturesque Pit" and "If I Could Say I Love You", though some of the "Hollo Utca" songs are a little obnoxious...
But the songs with the breakcore break beat stuff aren't all that strong.
It just seems like he kinda half assed it, like "Hey, this song is kinda dull. Let's throw in some random breakbeats and call it a day."
It's just not strong and abrupt and fitting, like in Kétsarkú Mozgalom or Frictional Nevada, or any number of his songs that are pretty with obnoxious beats XD

I may get Meathole, but I'm not too too big into the real hard stuff (I tried listening to his Winnepeg album and I couldn't get through half the songs), so we'll just have to see how I like it.

There's a breakcore/DnB/neo-classical album by Venetian Snares you should check out.
I think you'd like it.
It's called "Rossz Csillag Alatt Született"
Very interesting stuff.
You can probably go to youtube and punch in "Szamar Madar" to get a taste of what it's like.

I know that album and I love it :) It's my favourite Venetian Snares album.... All the tracks on it are great!
